Recipe for Moist, Delicious Pumpkin Bread

October 7, 2009
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 2/3 c. flour or whole wheat flour
1/4 t. baking powder
1 t. baking soda
1/2 t. ground cloves
3/4 t. salt
1/2 t. cinnamon
1 c. pumpkin
2 eggs
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. oil
1/2 c. nuts

Combine all ingredients except nuts.  Mix for 3 minutes then fold in nuts.  Spread mixture in 1 large or 2 small loaf pans.  Bake at 325 for 1+ hour large pan or 45-60 minutes smaller pans.  Cooking times vary greatly.  Enjoy a great taste of fall!

Fun Fall Activities with Kids

As fall arrives, enjoy some of these fun fall activities with your children:

  • Check out the changing leaves up North - take a ride on the Snowbowl Ski Lifts for spectacular views!
  • Visit a local pumpkin patch.
  • Make some yummy pumpkin bread.
  • Picnic outside at the park.
  • Take a hike or walk along South Mountain trails.
  • Go biking along the trails near Usery Pass.
  • Paint a flowerpot and plant some fall mums.
  • Make a fall wreath.
  • Bake pumpkin seeds.

Eagle's Run Fundraiser November 6, 2009
