New LEGO After-School Club for CrossRoads Community School Boys

The new CRCS LEGO Club will be meeting after school from 3:15 to 4:30 on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month, beginning on January 28th.  This “boy-geared” activity will be all about building with LEGOS, learning to follow building directions and also designing Lego creations.  There will be competitions in different categories judged by staff and students at CRCS.   Boys of all grade levels are welcome (Kindergarten through 8th Grade)…LEGOS will be provided; all you need is a ...

CrossRoads Community School Students Bring Christmas Cheer to Nursing Home Residents

CRCS students are encouraged to participate in a Community Service Project each semester.  On Monday, December 2nd, 2009, several CRCS students and family members visited the Westchester Care Center nursing home to bring cheer, sing carols, give gifts and pray for the residents there.  Several of the students also presented special music on the piano and the harp.  This is just one example of what kinds of opportunities families have on Home Based Learning (HBL) school days.   This com...

8th Grader Middle Schoolers Get Creamed for a Good Cause!

The 8th graders in Mrs. Perkin's Middle School Class sacrificed themselves for a great Christian charity, Operation Christmas Child.  The 6th and 7th graders won the contest, brought in the most boxes for donation, and got to cream the 8th grade class.  It was good, messy fun!  Check out more photos in the CRCS Facebook Fan Page album.

2nd and 3rd Grades Perform Christmas Pageant!

158 Shoeboxes Collected at CRCS for Needy Children!

Our goal for Operation Christmas Child this year was 150 shoeboxes……

The generosity and commitment of our CRCS families produced 158 boxes to donate to this special Christmas charity!!!

5th Annual Eagle's Run & Celebrity Kickball Game a Blast!

This year's 5th Annual Fundraiser Eagle's Run was the best ever!  Grades K-8 jogged around the CRCS field with teachers, friends and family.  Thanks to our many sponsors for refreshments.  The family lunch was one of the highlights as well as the Student Council vs. Teacher & Staff Kickball game.  A fun time was had by all!  Thanks to our wonderful sponsors and families for the great turnout and the awesome community and family we have at CRCS!

Prayer and Praise for Hallie

What an awesome sight to see our CRCS student body praying for Hallie, a mom of 3 at CrossRoads!  She appreciates our prayers and made it through the surgery well and is resting well at home.  Her family and faith is a true testimony.  God is great!  Her recovery time has surprised her doctors, but not all of us who know her sweet spirit!  Thank you for your continued prayers, meals and playdates as she recovers.
